Deflect is an early foundational work within the Symbol Compression series.

A tilted structural form anchors the composition — dense and internally layered — surrounded by directional marks that suggest force, interruption, and redirection. A single blue line cuts across the surface, acting as both division and movement.

Rather than presenting a scene, the piece functions as a constructed symbol. It holds tension without resolving it. The compression exists not in narrative, but in structure.
